For many years Bro. Al Lai Tan who was formerly employed by Lyons Tetley has organised many Weekend Employee Reunions, together with his wife Joan. Over the years these have been held at hotels in Oxford, Gloucester and for the last 4 years in Bournemouth. W.Bros Jim Hotston, Phil Goddard, Wayne Redford and Bro. Gerry Price all attended the reunion this year. Bro. Gerry was also employed at Lyons Tetley, whilst W. Bro. Jim and Phil have known Al and Joan for many years through their involvement with the 1st Hayes Scout Group. W. Bro. Wayne was a work colleague with W. Bro. Jim Hotston.
Joan and Al have very recently celebrated 50 years of marriage and we were all so pleased to see an album at the reunion that had been secretly produced by Al's daughter Anna that had many many contributions and photos from their friends and families.
On a rather sad note, Joan was not able to attend the reunion as she was in hospital recovering from an operation and we all wish her a speedy recovery.
