Following the success of Afternoon Tea for the widows of both Neleus and River Lodges in September 2016 it was decided to do it all over again on Sunday 15th October 2017 at the Beaconsfield Masonic Centre.
The afternoon commenced with a drinks reception in the bar allowing plenty of time for everyone to greet each other and to have a jolly good chinwag before transferring to the dining room for a scrumptious afternoon tea. There were various finger sandwiches followed by warm scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream. (How do you like yours - the Devonshire or the Cornish way?) A delicious variety of cakes followed, all washed down with copious amounts of tea!
Entertainment was provided during the afternoon by W.Bro. Tom Quinn singing a great selection of songs with piano accompaniment from Eunice, his very talented wife.
A great afternoon was enjoyed by all and we hope to do it all over again in 2018.
